The Paris Climate Accord Pull Out

President Trump did what he said he would do, and kept a campaign promise. Was it the right thing to do?

President Trump Makes Announcement of Decision to pull out on Paris Climate Accord – June 1, 2017
____________________

“Mass Trump Hysteria” that President Trump did what he said he’d do, pull out on a very unfair deal for Americans, called The Paris Climate Accord. This is just another campaign promise that he is fulfilling and no one should be even the least bit surprised that it has happened.

‘The Left’ thinks the sky is falling.

Trump Derangement Syndrome, (TDS) is becoming an epidemic among liberals, and democrats. If you haven’t noticed they are all being SO DRAMATIC! Seriously, take some xanax, please! Or maybe just stop with the fear mongering “Alphabet News Networks”. (ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC) They like to get you all worked up by leaving out a lot of convenient facts, because it doesn’t fit the negative story line that big mean President Trump is some how ruining the world, yet again today. However, every single day we seem to get through each and every one of these alleged disasters perfectly fine. They only do this for ratings and their fan base eats it up.

No one is dying because we backed out of this deal. No one is going to die or suffer because we backed out of this deal. PERIOD.

I’m sorry I guess the daily freak outs are starting to really get to me.
(Stay with me here.)

I totally sympathize with you “lefties” out there. I believe in preserving our environment just as much as the next ‘tree hugger’. I love my garden, clean water and breathing clean crisp air. I love going for walks and enjoying nature. Before I started doing my own research instead of listening to the fear mongering media, I would probably be in some sort of hysteria too and hiding under my bed with my bottle of xanax.

I’ve learned over the past 5 or so months to just ‘Trust in Trump’.

He’s been right about almost everything else, even if the fear mongering condescending media won’t acknowledge when he is right.
(Trump is Always Right-A List)
No seriously, he may have quoted some statistics wrong, but I’m sure someone else did that research, so I give him a pass on numbers. He’s right about the big stuff and he is privy to much more information than you or I.

That might be a little hard for some of you out there to take, the fact that President Trump knows more than you do. Sting a little? Well it’s about time many of you come to terms with it and also come to terms with the fact that he’s president.

Can Trump help the climate without being in the Paris Accord?
Published on Jun 1, 2017

‘The Skeptical Environmentalist’ author Bjorn Lomborg, ‘The Next Revolution’ host Steve Hilton and Washington Free Beacon staff writer Elizabeth Harrington on President Trump pulling out of the Paris climate agreement.

“The Agreement doesn’t do enough to help climate change.”

____________________

President Trump shows over and over again that he’s a reasonable man. Even though he has backed out of this TERRIBLE DEAL, he said in the rose garden when he made the announcement, that he wants to negotiate a NEW BETTER DEAL. One that doesn’t involve the loss of American jobs and taxpayers fitting the bill when other countries like China and India, aren’t willing to take on their fair share of the carbon emissions reduction burden.

He’s not just denying climate change all together.

But if they can’t make a new deal, he’s not losing sleep over it, because America is already doing plenty in the private sector to reduce our carbon footprint and do our part to preserve our environment.

This is exactly what I wanted President Trump to do. This is exactly what we all knew he would do. This is exactly what the American workers voted for him to do.

All Conservatives and Republicans should finally be in agreement on something.

This Paris Climate Accord does not reduce emissions enough to justify the insane amount of money it would cost us. Any benefit we see from implementing the restrictions can not be measured effectively enough to justify the expense either.

This agreement is useless. There are no penalties for not upholding it. This deal was never ratified, and countries are already falling behind on it. The goals set up in the agreement are not attainable, especially if countries are already not taking it seriously enough. If we must have a deal, then let’s make a new one.

Tucker: Trump gets US out of bad deal and left melts down
Published on Jun 1, 2017

President Trump is keeping a promise, undoing 8 years of bad Obama policy and putting American interests first by withdrawing US from Paris Climate Accord – and of course, the left has a meltdown

What is in the Paris climate agreement?

What are the key elements?

  • To keep global temperatures “well below” 2.0C (3.6F) above pre-industrial times and “endeavour to limit” them even more, to 1.5C
  • To limit the amount of greenhouse gases emitted by human activity to the same levels that trees, soil and oceans can absorb naturally, beginning at some point between 2050 and 2100
  • To review each country’s contribution to cutting emissions every five years so they scale up to the challenge
  • For rich countries to help poorer nations by providing “climate finance” to adapt to climate change and switch to renewable energy.

What about money?

Developing countries say they need financial and technological help to leapfrog fossil fuels and move straight to renewables.

Currently they have been promised US $100b per year by 2020 – not as much as many countries would like.

The agreement requires rich nations to maintain a $100b per year funding pledge beyond 2020, and to use that figure as a “floor” for further support agreed by 2025.

The deal says wealthy countries should continue to provide financial support for poor nations to cope with climate change and encourages other countries to join in on a voluntary basis.

Prof John Shepherd of the National Oceanography Centre, University of Southampton, says the agreement includes some welcome aspirations but few people realise how difficult it will be to achieve the goals.

“Since the only mechanism remains voluntary national caps on emissions, without even any guidance on how stringent those caps would need to be, it is hard to be optimistic that these goals are likely to be achieved.”

____________________

Whether you “buy” the idea of climate change or not, (and there are plenty reasons to question it as well as plenty of reasons to believe in it,) this agreement seems more like a symbolic “cool kids of the world club”, or “one world order,” than any kind of agreement that is going to make substantial results to save the environment.

The pressure to just blindly follow and shell out money without knowing where it’s going is ludicrous. By being a part of this agreement without question is just being a blind sheep, not a leader of the world.

A leader negotiates deals that are fair for the people he/she is representing.

Take a look at the numbers. This agreement says the US should pay $100 billion per year until 2025, then thereafter, continuing with $100 billion per year as “the floor”, or hopefully pay more, to reduce the overall world carbon footprint and stop a 2 degree increase in global warming by 2100. Then if we divided 2 degrees by the approximately 200 countries in the agreement, that’s only .01 degrees per country. Taking into consideration our size and that we account for approximately 12-15% of the world’s carbon footprint, that decrease of .01 degrees multiplied by 15, (for the percentage we are responsible for,) equals .15 degrees, or just round up to .2 degrees. That’s a whole lot of money that we have no idea where it’s going or have any account, just for a .2 degrees decrease over the next century. Especially considering we had an 18% reduction in our carbon footprint between 2000-2015 without the agreement. We are already leading the cause in the war against climate change.

That’s right, our private businesses already are doing their part to combat climate change, because they do care for the environment and they don’t need to be in any “cool kids of the world agreement” to do what’s right, what’s cost effective for them and what’s logical. This way it’s not costing us $100 billion a year for a federal/international mandate. Welcome to conservatism! Less government control is better, ALWAYS.

On “Special Report” tonight, EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt praised the president for his “courageous” decision. -On interview with Fox June 1, 2017. (Pre 1994 levels.)

He added that the U.S. has been a leader on climate change and CO2 reduction – and will continue to do so – so we have nothing to be apologetic about.

“The president did a courageous thing today. He truly put America’s interests first,” Pruitt said. “The president took care of American citizens today.”

____________________

The Paris Climate Accord also demands that America not build any more coal plants immediately, while India won’t need to stop until they receive 2.5 trillion dollars in foreign aid. China wouldn’t have to stop until 2030. (All while OUR “carbon footprint” is back to pre 1994 levels.)

President Trump did the right thing. This was a job killer and would have forced the USA to stifle, while other countries around the globe pummeled us economically.

As “the Alphabet News Networks” and loudest voices on the left have their hissy fit about how unprecedented this is, might I remind them that President Bush did something similar in 2001 and we all lived just fine.

____________________

In 1997, the Clinton administration helped broker the Kyoto Protocol, a similar climate deal that required the nations involved to commit to binding CO2 reduction targets. The U.S. actually signed the treaty, though the Senate refused to ratify it, chiefly because big-polluting developing nations like China and India were given a pass.

Nevertheless, it was hailed as a major step towards combating climate change.

When George W. Bush became president in 2001, he shocked the world by announcing that he was unilaterally withdrawing the United States from the Kyoto Protocol (sound familiar?). He received fierce criticism abroad for failure to lead on climate change.

Per a New York Times article from June 12, 2001:

“Mr. Bush’s outright rejection of the treaty two months ago led to an uproar in Europe…Mr. Bush remained firm in rejecting the 1997 Kyoto accord, noting that it set no standards for major emitters of greenhouse gases, like China and India, while creating mandates for the United States that could prove economically crippling.”

Bush acknowledged global warming as a problem, but preferred for the free market to fight climate change as opposed to relying on artificial government commitments.

He was a few years ahead of his time, but he wasn’t wrong – technological developments in natural gas fracking at the end of the last decade and in this one have, according to one study, reduced carbon emissions in the United States by more than twice as much as what the rest of the world managed to do under the Kyoto Protocol:

David Victor, an energy expert at UC-San Diego, estimates that the shift from coal to natural gas has reduced U.S. emissions by 400 to 500 megatons CO2 per year. To put that number in perspective, it is about twice the total effect of the Kyoto Protocol on carbon emissions in the rest of the world, including the European Union.

The Paris Accord is different than Kyoto, chiefly because it includes developing nations like China and India (though these nations’ reduction “targets” are pretty underwhelming if not negligible). It’s also non-binding, meaning the commitments are voluntary and unenforceable.

Even under the stringent regulatory regime proposed by the Obama administration, the U.S. was unlikely to meet its commitments anyway. Withdrawing from the treaty really doesn’t change much in terms of actual U.S. policy – it’s certainly not akin to “murdering the planet.”

____________________

So like I always tell you, don’t let the fear mongering media make you think this is something way bigger than it is, and get you all upset, because we are polluting the planet at record speeds and we are all going to die.

None of that is happening.

They love to manipulate you like that. I wouldn’t doubt if there has been a spike in people seeing a psychiatrist since the November 2016 election, not because of anything President Trump has done wrong to the country, but because of the anxiety and negativity the “Alphabet News Networks” and Senate Democrats generate in people that don’t have time to do the research to know what is actually happening.

Administrator Scott Pruitt Speech On Paris Accord, As Prepared

June 1, 2017 – Thank you, Mr. President.

Your decision today to exit the Paris Accord reflects your unflinching commitment to put America First. And by exiting, you are fulfilling yet one more campaign promise to the American people.

Please know that I am thankful for your fortitude – courage – and steadfastness as you serve and lead our country.

America finally has a leader who answers only to the people – not the special interests who have had their way for much too long. In everything you do, you are fighting for the forgotten men and women of America. You are the champion for hardworking citizens all across this land who just want a government that puts their needs first.

You have promised to put America First in all aspects of your Administration. And you have done that in any number of ways – from trade – to national security – to protecting our border – to right-sizing government here in Washington, D.C.

And today, you have put America First with regard to international agreements and the environment. This is a historic restoration of American Economic Independence – one that will benefit the working class, the working poor, and working people of all stripes. With this action, you have declared that people are the rulers of this country once again.

It should be noted that we as a nation do it better than anyone in the world in striking the balance between growing jobs and our economy – while also being a good steward of our environment. We owe no apologies to other nations for our environmental stewardship.

After all – before the Paris Accord was ever signed – America had reduced its CO2 footprint to levels of the early 1990s. In fact – between the years 2000 and 2014, the United States reduced its carbon emissions by more than 18 percent and this was accomplished largely by American innovation and technology from the private sector rather than government mandate.

For that reason – you have corrected a view that was paramount in Paris – that somehow the United States should penalize its economy – be apologetic – lead with our chin – while the rest of the world does little. Other nations talk a good game – We lead with action – not words.

Our efforts should be on exporting our technology and innovation to nations who seek to reduce their CO2 footprint – to learn from us. That should be our focus versus agreeing to unachievable targets that harm our economy and the American people.

Mr. President – it takes courage and commitment to say no to the plaudits of men while doing what’s right by the American people.

You have that courage –

And the American people can take comfort because you have their back.

Sen. Cruz Issues Statement Following President Trump’s Announcement Regarding the Paris Climate Agreement

“I commend President Trump for putting American jobs first. This is great news for the Texas economy and for hardworking Americans all across our country. This is great news for family budgets, which under the Obama Paris plan would have seen significant increases in costs for utilities and nearly everything powered by fossil fuels, which accounts for 82 percent of all the energy generated in the United States. The Paris agreement would have destroyed $3 trillion in American GDP and killed 6.5 million industrial sector jobs by 2040, while even EPA’s own models conclude that it will have a negligible impact on global temperatures. And, it gave Russia and China and India a free pass, while hammering American jobs. I look forward continuing to work closely with the administration throughout the withdrawal process, and my number-one priority will continue to be fighting for Texans to advance policies that create jobs, grow the economy, and protect family budgets.”

Trump’s First 100 Days

After wading waste high thru all the crap articles and fake news, this is a very accurate list of the Trump Administration Accomplishments in the First 100 Days

I put my waist high crap waders on to give to you President Trump’s First 100 Days.

1st100days

It surely hasn’t been uneventful.

If you listen to the mainstream media (MSM) you will hear something like this:
Donald Trump’s presidency is the ‘most failed first 100 days ever’, says US historian
MARCH 22, 2017

I’m not even going to quote this article, because it’s fake news, click bait and this is why; President Trump’s 100th day in office was Saturday April 29, 2017. This article was written on MARCH 22, 2017, which was day 62. How do you judge the first 100 days of an administration with another month to go? So yeah, it’s Fake News! There were countless articles like this to wade through. A bunch of crap.

I think the above article blames the Trump Administration’s alleged failure on the Russian investigation, which still has no substance after almost a year. (If you don’t believe that, you can see my previous blog on that subject. It was just updated May 2, 2017, with the most recent revelations, and still no evidence that President Trump was or is in collusion with Russia.)

Hopefully, once The House Intelligence Committee starts bringing witnesses in this week for closed testimonies, it will shed more light on that whole debacle and we can eventually just lay that conspiracy theory to rest. (Maybe then, Rachel Maddow will finally start reporting some REAL news,… one can only hope.)

But really, can we at least give this sitting president a full 100 days before we start grading? Or doesn’t it matter, because the grade is the same no matter what he has done?

Trump’s First 100 Days of the Presidency was doomed to get a negative grade by the MSM (mainstream media), regardless. They all just ignore anything good that he’s done or spin and twist the good things into negative speculations, even blatant lies that result in fake news and fear mongering the American public. I hear this a lot, that “Trump will start WWIII” even though these tensions were here far before Trump even started his campaign.

President Trump is being criticized for not having any of his major permanent legislation passed that he promised over the campaign, like Health reform, and Tax reform. Which is being resisted by democrats and even some republicans. Not only that, these are complicated legislation that historically have taken a lot longer than 100 days to pass by other administrations.

He’s being criticized for not being able to implement his Travel Pause Executive Order, because it was blocked by the 9th Circuit Court, as well as his Sanctuary Cities Executive Order. The blocks are unconstitutional and the executive orders are clearly well in the power of the President of the United States to hold, but that’s a blog for another day. (Actually I have blogged about the Travel Pause, twice.)

I find this so ironic that President Trump is being criticized for not being able to exercise his power as the leader of the country, because he’s been compared to Hitler, so many times that it’s completely ridiculous.

So what is it? Is he the most horrible evil dictator to ever take a breath and set foot on the earth? Or is he a weak inferior man who can’t even enforce a simple law that has been on the books for decades?

Neither.

He’s just a man. A man who is trying to serve his country the best way he can. Which it’s now taking a lot longer to do the things he’s been planning, that he has promised and needs to do. It’s a lot harder than he thought it would be, because of the unprecedented push back that he’s getting from the obstructionist lefties and even some of the bull headed Republicans.

President Trump is also being labeled a flip-flopper, because he’s able to assess a situation, listen to all of the sides/opinions, weigh the pros and cons, then do the necessary steps to work things out in our country’s favor.

For example, we now have probably the best relationship with China that we’ve had in decades, maybe even ever, because our leader took the time to talk things out with their leader and join forces against a common enemy. If you followed Trump on the campaign trail this was a big surprise. Now we are using China as an ally in a very sticky situation against North Korea, because it’s in both our countries best interest. We are also making better trade deals with them. Our products will have a better shot at being sold in China, without being double taxed, because our President is negotiating better deals.

This video makes me giggle. President Trump says China, over and over again.

President Trump has changed his mind on many other things, however now he has so much more information than he did when on the campaign trail. He has national security clearance that provides a completely different perspective for him. As well as countless advisors and people he trusts to mull over current situations, outcomes and possible solutions. If he’s able to take the new information, make an informed decision to change his mind on an issue, then I trust his judgement. He knows much more than you or I know about any national security situation, and if he’s changing his mind about certain issues, he must have good reasons.

Democrats and liberals should be ecstatic about this. HE’S ABLE TO CHANGE HIS MIND! That means he’s a REASONABLE HUMAN BEING!

Oh, but then that would mean admitting to being wrong about him.

We can’t have any of that, now can we?

If you only have the time to watch your local nightly alphabet news, or read the news on social media, you probably have a very negative and frustrated view of the Trump Administration’s first 100 days. You probably think money has been spent willy-nilly, no actual work has been done, important regulations have been repealed and no one in the country even likes President Trump. That’s exactly what the radical progressives want you to think.

The progressive leftists, or I call them regressives, want President Trump to fail. They do not care about the fact that if the Trump Administration fails that means the rest of us go down with the ship. Their only objective is to prove that they were right about him all along. They do not care that by being right, that would mean you and I, the American people would be the ones to really lose and suffer.

President Trump has been doing everything that he can to get his agenda done, and fulfilling the promises that he made on the campaign trail; with little help from congress, and no help from the mainstream media or Liberal District Court Judges. There has been so many distractions that have completely sucked all the life and attention away from anything positive that has been happening. Much of this was by design from ‘the resistance’. I guess, we can blame a little, on Twitter rants, but a rant is usually provoked. If you are constantly under fire, you may deserve a pass for some of your negative reactions. Just saying.

(But I’m not really a big fan of the Twitter rants either.)

According to Fox News, the official tally as, Friday April 28, 2017 at day 99, President Trump made 55 promises of actions he would take in his first 100 days: 18 are completed, 11 in progress, and 26 have so far failed. However, I wouldn’t completely count the allegedly failed ones out. He’s had so much resistance from Senate/House Democrats and even some Senate/House Republicans. That resistance is to purposely sabotage him in the eyes of the American people.

Some of these promises that have allegedly failed may have just been reconsidered and renegotiated. This should thrill Democrats! This means President Trump flipped his stance to their side. But have you heard how any of the Democrats are thrilled?….. Me either.

I see a President that is TRYING to keep all of his promises, even if they aren’t happening as fast as he’d hoped and that speaks volumes to me. Even if I don’t always agree with his agenda.

100 Days Of Trump – Grading Pres Trump Democrat Weigh In

WHAT HAS PRESIDENT TRUMP ACCOMPLISHED SO FAR?

Here is the “short list” for quick reference:

  • Illegal border crossings are down more than they have been in 17 years

The Promises Trump Would Like to Have Already Kept, But Will Soon Enough

These are the main promises that WILL be kept, but are in progress or in line for the next 100 days:

  • Tax Reform– one of the largest tax cuts for businesses and individuals, including the middle class in American history (legislation this complex is not usually historically passed in only 100 Days)
  • Health Care Reform– (also not usually historically passed in only first 100 days)

More In Depth List of Trump Administration Accomplishments:

(With reference links. Some things you may not agree with, however there are many good things, that should have bipartisan support. There has been many campaign promises kept. You need to hear this point of view, because you’ve been fed way too much negativity since November 9, 2016.)

  • Supreme Court Nomination: Justice Neil Gorsuch confirmed, an Originalist and perfect replacement for the late great Justice Antonin Scalia – This assures that our constitution is upheld without distortion of radical liberal progressivism. (The last time there was a Supreme Court Justice confirmed within a President’s first 100 days was over 130 years ago) Campaign Promise √

Justice Gorsuch had unanimous bipartisan support when he was approved by the senate to the Court of Appeals just a decade ago. All of the resisting you saw from democrats just proves my point that they only want to see President Trump fail. The only reason I can think of as to why, is that they want to be right about him. There are still many senate democrats currently serving that were part of that unanimous vote, including Chuck Schumer. (Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden were also part of that vote in favor of Judge Gorsuch)

  • Illegal border crossings are down more than they have been in 17 years Campaign Promise √
  • Border Security and Immigration Enforcement Improvements – Increased border security to reduce human-trafficking and drug smuggling Campaign Promise √

  • Restoring the Rule of Law, Federalism, and Economic Growth by Reviewing the “Waters of the United States” Rule – to ensure that the Nation’s navigable waters are kept free from pollution, while at the same time promoting economic growth, minimizing regulatory uncertainty, and showing due regard for the roles of the Congress and the States under the Constitution. Campaign Promise √
  • Enforcing the Regulatory Reform Agenda – to lower regulatory burdens on the American people by implementing and enforcing regulatory reform Campaign Promise √
  • Enforcing Federal Law with Respect to Transnational Criminal Organizations and Preventing International Trafficking
    • strengthen enforcement of Federal law in order to thwart transnational criminal organizations and subsidiary organizations, including criminal gangs, cartels, racketeering organizations, and other groups engaged in illicit activities that present a threat to public safety and national security

    • Preventing Violence Against Federal, State, Tribal, and Local Law Enforcement Officers
      • enforce all Federal laws in order to enhance the protection and safety of Federal, State, tribal, and local law enforcement officers, and thereby all Americans;
      • develop strategies, in a process led by the Department of Justice (Department) and within the boundaries of the Constitution and existing Federal laws, to further enhance the protection and safety of Federal, State, tribal, and local law enforcement officers; and
      • pursue appropriate legislation, consistent with the Constitution’s regime of limited and enumerated Federal powers, that will define new Federal crimes, and increase penalties for existing Federal crimes, in order to prevent violence against Federal, State, tribal, and local law enforcement officers. Campaign Promise √
  • Executive Order on a Task Force on Crime Reduction and Public Safety – in order to reduce crime and restore public safety to communities across the Nation Campaign Promise √

“President Trump put veterans at the top of his priority list in his first 100 days, and we’re confident he will continue to do everything in his power to take care of them,” said CVA Executive Director Mark Lucas. “This new executive order should be a wake-up call to Congress that the VA is continuing to fail because of employee negligence and misconduct.”

GETTING GOVERNMENT OUT OF THE WAY: President Donald J. Trump has done more to stop the Government from interfering in the lives of Americans in his first 100 days than any other President in history.

President Trump has signed 13 Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolutions in his first 100 days, more than any other President. These resolutions nullified unnecessary regulations and block agencies from reissuing them.

Since CRA resolutions were introduced under President Clinton, they’ve been used only once, under President George W. Bush.

The Wall Street Journal editorial: “So far the Trump Administration is a welcome improvement, rolling back more regulations than any President in history.”

TAKING EXECUTIVE ACTION: In office, President Trump has accomplished more in his first 100 days than any other President since Franklin Roosevelt.

President Trump will have signed 30 executive orders during his first 100 days.

President Trump’s 100 Days of Accountability

“Our moral duty to the taxpayer requires us to make our Government leaner and more accountable.”

– President Donald J. Trump

A GOVERNMENT ACCOUNTABLE TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE: For too long the Washington swamp worked to serve itself, but President Donald J. Trump is reforming the Government to serve the American people.

President Trump implemented tough ethical standards to ensure his Administration works for the American people and not itself.

President Trump introduced tough new lobbying standards for political appointees, including a five-year ban on lobbying and a lifetime ban on lobbying for foreign countries.

President Trump donated his first quarter salary to the National Park Service, following through on his promise to the American people.

President Trump is keeping his promise to the American people to reform the Government to better address their needs. President Trump:

Implemented a temporary Federal hiring freeze to prevent taxpayer dollars from financing unnecessary bureaucracy.

Directed his Administration to create a comprehensive plan to reorganize the executive branch.

Required executive branch agencies to eliminate two regulations for every one they issue.

Created the Office of American Innovation to streamline and improve Government for future generations.

President Trump’s budget blueprint takes a sober look at how to responsibly spend taxpayer dollars and seeks to streamline government.

President Trump proposed the largest cut to non-defense spending since the Reagan Administration.

President Trump fulfilled his promise to the American people by nominating and, after Senate confirmation, appointing Neil Gorsuch as an Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court.

ADDRESS THE NEEDS OF ALL AMERICANS: President Trump has taken action to help marginalized communities past administrations have neglected.

After years of scandal and failing healthcare, President Trump has taken action to expand access to care for America’s veterans.

For the first time, accurate and up-to-date wait times and quality-of-care information is easily available online.

Under President Trump, authorized appointments for veterans outside of VA facilities have increased by 42 percent.

The President signed an extension of the Veterans Choice Program, giving eligible veterans the option of seeking care from private physicians.

The Department of Veterans Affairs has expanded emergent mental health care access to an estimated 500,000 former service members with Other than Honorable (OTH) discharges.

President Trump created a commission and focused grants to tackle the opioid epidemic that has increasingly plagued our country.

President Trump took action to prioritize Historically Black Colleges and Universities, after these critical institutions were marginalized in the previous administration.

Under President Trump’s leadership, the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has gone on a national listening tour, promoting accountability at HUD field offices to the citizens they serve.

Under President Trump and Secretary DeVos’s leadership, the Administration has rolled back harmful regulations to ensure America’s schools are helping students.

A FOREIGN POLICY THAT PROMOTED ACCOUNTABILITY FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE: President Trump’s America First foreign policy restores the voice of the American people in world affairs.

President Trump is holding the U.N. accountable by calling out false and defamatory anti-Israel bias and forcing it to confront threats to the world’s security. At the U.N., the United States is:

Removing a blatantly biased report against Israel.

Condemning Russia’s support for the Assad regime and continued failure to live up to its commitment to end the conflict in eastern Ukraine.

Challenging Iran’s launch of ballistic missiles.

President Trump is supporting our allies across the world, while making sure everyone is accountable to international obligations. The United States is:

Working with NATO members to boost their defense spending to meet their commitments.

Supported Montenegro joining the NATO alliance.

President Trump re-negotiated the F-35 fighter jet agreement, saving more than $700 million in taxpayer money while improving America’s national security.

A PROMISE TO HOLD THE GOVERNMENT ACCOUNTABLE: President Trump promised that he would drain the Washington swamp and restore accountability to Government.

President Trump: “Our moral duty to the taxpayer requires us to make our Government leaner and more accountable.”

President Trump: “There is duplication and redundancy everywhere. Billions and billions of dollars are being wasted on activities that are not delivering results for hardworking American taxpayers.”

‘Optimism’ and ‘Fake News’: Ohio Town Hall Grades Trump’s First 100 Days

April 25, 2017 [Video]

Martha MacCallum moderated a town hall event at Stolle Machinery, a manufacturing plant in North Canton, Ohio on “The First 100 Days.”

Many of the attendees said they felt that Trump is thus far keeping his promise to look out for the working people of America and improve the economy.

An executive at the plant, Michael Raderchak, said Trump brought optimism to an area of the country that has seen a lot in the way of economic downturn. He praised Trump for moving manufacturing back to America and Ohio specifically. “For the past eight years, we didn’t see that,” he said.

Tamie Lindamood, an employee at Stolle, echoed Raderchak, saying she also is optimistic that Trump will help the economy in the area. Lindamood said she was laid off three times during the Obama administration and witnessed friends lose their homes. “It’s stifling to be from Ohio and see [Trump] come in with so much optimism,” she said.

Stolle employee Steve Schutt said he too was encouraged with the Trump administration’s actions on trade and the economy.

Another attendee said Trump well understands the “working man” and is realizing how to prioritize his national security issues with domestic policies:

Former Gov. Ted Strickland (D-Ohio) said Trump “talks better than he acts,” but added that he is pleased with some of what the president has accomplished.

A student at the University of Akron told MacCallum that he too is concerned with President Trump. Christian Howse said Trump’s foreign policy and acts of war show too many parallels to President Bush engaging America in the early days of the War on Terror.

Later, another man instead blamed the media for the negative talk about Trump, saying he did not trust the approval polls and that many press outlets are engaging in “fake news.”

Addressing Misconceptions About The Dakota Access Pipeline
DAPL Facts You Should Know

The Dakota Access pipeline is not built on Native American reservations.
99.98% of the pipeline is installed on privately owned property in North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, and Illinois. The Dakota Access Pipeline does not enter the Standing Rock Sioux reservation at any point.

The Dakota Access pipeline is safe.

The area of the Dakota Access pipeline in question has held eight other pipelines for over 30 years.
Eight other pipelines currently run below Lake Oahe. In fact, existing pipelines have safely transported natural gas beneath Lake Oahe for more than 30 years.

The builders of the Dakota Access pipeline adhered to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations

Most of the protesters at the Dakota Access Pipeline are not Standing Rock Sioux.
The vast majority of the opposition to the Dakota Access Pipeline – and the most vocal – comes not from the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, but from several radical, well-funded groups that are opposed to all use of fossil fuel and who ignore the safety of the pipeline in order to further their membership and fundraising efforts.

55 tribes held over 389 meetings while the DAPL route was planned.

No Native American artifacts were disturbed during construction.

The source of water for the Standing Rock Sioux is not near the Dakota Access Pipeline
At no point does the Dakota Access Pipeline pass through the Standing Rock Sioux reservation, nor does it impact the Tribe’s water supply. The water inlet for the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe will be 70 miles away by early 2017, when the tribe’s water intake moves to South Dakota.

Sean Hannity Podcast April 5, 2017

Guests Journalist, Sara Carter from Circa News and Buzz Patterson, Author, Retired Air Force Pilot, former Senior Military Aide to President Bill Clinton

This is the summarized version of the show that has now been deleted and I can’t find a new link to embed. (How convenient.) This is the link to the show summary on Sean Hannity’s site, April 5, 2017:  http://www.hannity.com/articles/shows-472046/radio-show-recap-apr-5-15713492/

Robert Buzz Patterson served 20 years as a pilot on active duty in the United States Air Force, from 1996-1998, Colonel Patterson was the Senior Military Aide to President Bill Clinton. During that time he was responsible for the President’s Emergency Satchel. He retired in 2001 to pursue a career as a writer, conservative political commentator and commercial airline pilot.

During the Clinton Administration, Susan Rice, served in the Clinton administration in various capacities: at the National Security Council (NSC) from 1993 to 1997; as director for international organizations and peacekeeping from 1993 to 1995; and as special assistant to the president and senior director for African affairs from 1995 to 1997.

According to Buzz Patterson, (while he was Senior Military Aide to President Clinton,) Susan Rice, was the person that talked President Bill Clinton into not accepting Osama Bin Laden from Sudan in 1996. The country had offered him up on a silver platter, and Susan Rice urged President Clinton not to take him, because according to her, there wasn’t enough legal foundation to justify it. If you take the time to process that tidbit of information, you may come to the same conclusion as I did…. How does this woman live with herself? How does she look herself in the mirror everyday?

Susan Rice unmasking revelations covered up by ABC, NBC, defended by CBS

Identities of U.S. persons in raw intelligence reports on dozens of occasions that connect to the Donald Trump transition and campaign.” With their identities unmasked, it allowed for someone to freely and illegally leak their names to the press. It’s controversial news but ABC and NBC both chose to ignore it that night, while CBS defended Rice.

Susan Rice is Former National Security Adviser to President Barack Obama. While serving under the Obama Administration, Rice has been accused of unmasking American citizens in incidental collections of National Security Surveillance. It’s still not clear if the unmasking was for legally legitimate reasons or was politically motivated.

However, due to former President Obama’s relaxation of the rules under executive order 12333 it’s quite possible that it was legal, but would not have been otherwise.

Full context: Susan Rice answers questions about Trump transition spying allegations April 4, 2017
http://www.pbs.org/newshour/rundown/full-context-susan-rice-answers-questions-trump-transition-spying-allegations/

Former National Security Adviser Susan Rice denied Tuesday that the Obama administration spied on Trump campaign associates for political reasons last year, though she acknowledged that on occasion she requested the identity of Americans swept up in U.S. surveillance efforts.

In an interview with MSNBC, Rice said she sometimes asked for the identity of Americans who communicated with foreign individuals, a request known as “unmasking” in intelligence jargon.

The interview came after Bloomberg’s Eli Lake reported that Rice sought out the identities of Trump associates while reviewing communications collected during surveillance of foreign targets. Conservative media commentators have said the reports back-up President Trump’s unsubstantiated claim last month that former President Barack Obama wiretapped Trump Tower during the 2016 presidential election.

Lake noted in his original report that in her role as national security adviser, Rice’s requests to unmask Americans swept up in foreign surveillance was “likely within the law.”

But Rice did not say if the individuals whose identities she requested included Mr. Trump or any of his campaign aides. She also denied the Obama administration ordered secret surveillance of Trump as part of a political operation.

“Absolutely false,” Rice told MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell.

Rice’s “unmasking” request last year and recent comments on her role in the surveillance efforts have placed her at the center of the wiretapping controversy in recent days. She also faced criticism Tuesday for denying that she had any knowledge that U.S. intelligence agencies in 2016 intercepted communications between Trump campaign associates and Russian officials.

House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., last month announced the existence of White House documents that he said offered proof that the Obama administration intercepted Trump’s campaign communications while monitoring foreign officials, a practice called “incidental collection.”

The Washington Post on Tuesday cited the PBS NewsHour interview and raised questions about Rice’s recent comments on the wiretapping controversy, though the newspaper noted her denial was unclear due to the way the question had been presented.

To save time for broadcast, the full first question was summarized in the anchor intro leading into NewsHour’s March 22 interview with Susan Rice.

In the first question, PBS NewsHour’s Judy Woodruff asked Rice about Nunes’ disclosure that Trump “and the people around him may have been caught up in surveillance of foreign individuals and that their identities may have been disclosed. Do you know anything about this?” Woodruff added.

Susan Rice on Nunes allegations: ‘I know nothing about this’

“I know nothing about this. I was surprised to see reports from Chairman Nunes on that count today,” Rice answered. The full first question is unedited in the video above.

On Tuesday, Rice defended herself in the MSNBC interview, saying that her job as national security adviser involved seeking out information on U.S. surveillance efforts.

As a top national security official, Rice said, “I only receive what the intelligence community thinks I or any other senior official needs to see.” She added, “That’s necessary for me to do my job.”

On March 22, 2017 the PBS NewsHour’s Judy Woodruff interviewed Susan Rice, who served as national security adviser and UN ambassador under President Obama. In her first answer during the interview, in which Woodruff asked about allegations by House intelligence committee Chairman Devin Nunes that Trump transition officials may have been swept up in surveillance of foreigners during the end of the Obama administration, Rice said—in part—she knew “nothing about this.”

She seems to like to play with words, as she was quoted earlier this week on MSNBC, saying “I leaked nothing to nobody.” when asked if she leaked any of the unmasked names to the press. Leaking the names is a felony.

https://youtu.be/s1K4p3OLo7I

(According to MSM this video down plays the possibility of anything nefarious going on.)

In an interview Tuesday with MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell, former Obama administration national security advisor Susan Rice denies allegations from Fox News, Bloomberg, and other outlets that she used foreign intelligence intercepts to spy on members of the Trump campaign, including looking at documents whose subsequent leak ended the career of her successor, Gen. Mike Flynn. There are new twists in the investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election. Former Obama adviser Susan Rice defended herself from allegations by the Trump administration, saying, “I leaked nothing to nobody.” NBC’s Andrea Mitchell reports for TODAY.

(Which is actually a double negative.)

ROCKED: Angered Over Surveillance Scandal, Trump Has 3 Brutal Words For FBI
April 3, 2017 http://madworldnews.com/surveillance-scandal-trump-fbi/

Obviously angered by the explosive reports, Trump has three brutal words directly aimed at corrupt FBI Director James Comey for his role in Obama’s political surveillance scandal.

Trump posted the burning three-word message for Comey this morning on Twitter.

“This is unprecedented,” he said. The tweet is directed to “@FBI,” making it clear that Comey is not just part of the scandalous story but a root cause of political corruption, along with Obama and other top officials within his former administration.

According to Daily Mail, Trump also sent out a tweet praising the Fox News report which exposed the outrageous unmasking of Trump and his campaign in politically motivated surveillance, which was conducted by the Obama administration for an entire year before the inauguration.

This damning new evidence brings an avalanche of possible consequence for Comey after he publicly asked the Department of Justice on March 4 to denounce Trump’s initial claim of wiretapping. Breitbart reported, “Comey told officials at the Justice Department Trump’s claims are false and need to be corrected. Of particular concern is Trump’s insinuation that the FBI broke the law during its investigation of Russia’s involvement in the 2016 election.”

There was more than one unmasker, and Rice didn’t unmask Flynn April 4, 2017
http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/there-was-more-than-one-unmasker-and-rice-didnt-unmask-flynn/article/2619422?custom_click=rss

The Wall Street Journal reports today, based on information from a “Republican official” on the Hill, that at least two Trump transition staffers had their names unmasked by Obama administration officials.

One of them was former national security adviser Mike Flynn, whose conversations with Russia’s ambassador to the United States were leaked to the media. Flynn was ultimately forced to resign after less than a month in office because he had misrepresented the subject of his conversation to Vice President Mike Pence, who subsequently went on television and assured the nation, based on Flynn’s word, that he had not discussed the undoing of sanctions that President Barack Obama had just imposed.

But Rice unmasked someone else’s name in the context of conversations with officials from another foreign government — not Russia……the names of two U.S. citizens who were part of Mr. Trump’s transition team have been unmasked in intelligence reports.

One is Mr. Flynn and the other hasn’t been identified.

The official said Ms. Rice had requested the unmasking of at least one transition official—not Mr. Flynn—who was part of multiple foreign conversations that weren’t related to Russia.

Breaking: Look Who Gave Susan Rice The Unmasking OK!
April 3, 2017
http://redstatewatcher.com/article.asp?id=71550

The White House Counsel’s office identified Rice as the person responsible for the unmasking after examining Rice’s document log requests. The reports Rice requested to see are kept under tightly-controlled conditions. Each person must log her name before being granted access to them.

Upon learning of Rice’s actions, H. R. McMaster dispatched his close aide Derek Harvey to Capitol Hill to brief Chairman Nunes.

“Unmasking” is the process of identifying individuals whose communications were caught in the dragnet of intelligence gathering. While conducting investigations into terrorism and other related crimes, intelligence analysts incidentally capture conversations about parties not subject to the search warrant. The identities of individuals who are not under investigation are kept confidential, for legal and moral reasons.

Under President Obama, the unmasking rules were changed. Circa originally reported:

As his presidency drew to a close, Barack Obama’s top aides routinely reviewed intelligence reports gleaned from the National Security Agency’s incidental intercepts of Americans abroad, taking advantage of rules their boss relaxed starting in 2011 to help the government better fight terrorism, espionage by foreign enemies and hacking threats, Circa has learned.

Three people close to President Obama, including his “fall guy” for Benghazi (Susan Rice), had authorization to unmask.

“What was produced by the intelligence community at the request of Ms. Rice were detailed spreadsheets of intercepted phone calls with unmasked Trump associates in perfectly legal conversations with individuals,” diGenova told The Daily Caller News Foundation Investigative Group Monday.

“The overheard conversations involved no illegal activity by anybody of the Trump associates, or anyone they were speaking with,” diGenova said. “In short, the only apparent illegal activity was the unmasking of the people in the calls.”

Susan Rice is also the same person that mislead the public about why the attack at Benghazi happened. According to her the attack evolved out of a protest against an offensive internet video.

Why Susan Rice, Not Hillary Clinton, Took the Fall for Benghazi
June 28, 2016
https://www.bloomberg.com/view/articles/2016-06-28/why-susan-rice-not-hillary-clinton-took-the-fall-for-benghazi

On Benghazi day, let’s spare a few thoughts for President Barack Obama’s national security adviser, Susan Rice. Yes, the headlines all say the House Select Committee on Benghazi couldn’t find any new dirt on Hillary Clinton. But the woman who almost replaced her as secretary of state did not come out looking very prepared.

Back in September 2012, Rice was ambassador to the United Nations and was President Barack Obama’s first choice to replace Clinton as secretary of state. But her nomination was scuttled after she appeared on the Sunday news shows to discuss that month’s attacks on a U.S. special mission and CIA annex in Benghazi. Rice stuck to the talking points she had been given and said the attack evolved out of a protest against an offensive internet video.

The final report from the Republicans on the Benghazi committee did not find for example that Obama had nixed a rescue attempt or that Clinton personally disapproved security measures for Benghazi before the attack. It concluded that various rescue teams waited far too long before deploying to Libya, but it did not show the president called off these teams.

Rice was not well-prepared for this task. Not only was she not a participant in the senior-level meetings to respond to the Benghazi attack, she wasn’t even briefed by an intelligence analyst before appearing on the Sunday shows. She told the select committee that she was unaware at the time that the CIA maintained an annex at the Benghazi compound. Rhodes and senior Obama adviser David Plouffe briefed Rice instead.

The talking points that informed Rice’s appearances after the Benghazi attacks were based on talking points developed initially by the CIA for the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. …..the line about the internet video protests was based initially on an editing error in an intelligence report from the day after the attack.

This would appear to let Rhodes and Rice off the hook. It was the CIA’s fault in an editing error. But the White House also earns some blame as well.

Mid-level State Department officials e-mailed each other in disbelief about what Rice said on the Sunday shows. Clinton herself talked about the al-Qaeda links to the attackers in private conversations with Egyptian and Libyan officials as well as a personal e-mail to her daughter Chelsea Clinton.

Obama’s defenders might say that all of this is how the game is played. There is some truth to this. In democratic societies, it’s not enough to just present the public with facts. You have to string those facts together into a story in order to persuade people to support your policies. Narratives make governing possible.

But narratives are not everything. And this is a lesson that Obama has yet to learn. Whether it’s his attorney general excising Omar Mateen’s references to Islamic State in his 911 calls, or the White House’s decision to call terror rampages “mass shootings,” the narrative often seems more important than the policy it’s meant to sell. Nearly four years ago in Benghazi, the president’s narrative about terrorism and Libya went up in flames. The story his administration told about a protest and an internet video couldn’t save it.

EXCLUSIVE – Benghazi Hero Kris Paronto: Susan Rice ‘Needs to Be in Jail’ to Show Politicians ‘They Are No Longer Untouchable’ April 6, 2017
http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/04/06/exclusive-father-of-benghazi-fallen-hero-perhaps-susan-rice-should-take-a-lie-detector-test/

Former U.S. Army Ranger and Benghazi survivor Kris “Tanto” Paronto told Breitbart News that he believes former President Barack Obama National Security adviser Susan Rice “needs to be in jail” for her decision to willfully unmask the identities of United States citizens connected to President Donald Trump’s transition team.

Paronto added, “The Trump administration has been given the perfect opportunity to set an example, or make an example, out of the type of politician that she is and show these other politicians that they are no longer untouchable.”

“I thought Hillary Clinton was bad,” Paronto said. “This woman [Susan Rice] surpasses her as far as her evilness and willingness to subvert America with this administration and to continually lie.” He added, “This woman broke the law. She put lives in danger. She put officers in danger. She put American citizens in danger by doing that. She has no value for human life unless it benefits her politics or benefits her friendship with the crooked administration that was in power for the previous eight years. That woman, at the very least, needs to be in jail. She has no value of human life.”

Instead, Paronto suggested Rice lied to protect Obama and questioned her allegiance to the United States. “There is no gray area; she lied. And she’s still protecting her mentor, Obama, from that administration. Her allegiance lies, for some reason misguidedly with them, not with the United States of America.” Paronto also criticized Rice for saying that Bowe Bergdahl served with honor and distinction. “I didn’t know a traitor could serve with honorable distinction and then get six of his fellow soldiers killed trying to find him. The woman has no integrity. She should have no credibility. And honestly, in my opinion, she should be in prison for unmasking and putting American citizens in danger.”

He said he hopes President Trump and Attorney General Jeff Sessions will go after Rice but said, “I don’t think justice will take place because I haven’t seen it yet. “Justice could have taken place with Hillary Clinton because she did violate national security; she did lie. Justice could have taken place” when it was discovered that interim DNC Chairwoman Donna Brazile gave Clinton’s camp questions before a town hall debate while she was a contributor to CNN. He added, “Justice could happen with Susan Rice and her lying on national TV continually about a video causing Benghazi when it didn’t.”

Rice said it was a YouTube video, not then-President Barack Obama’s foreign policy, that prompted the Benghazi attack that left Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and three others dead. It was not.

Paronto was among four surviving warriors who defended more than 30 American personnel in two American facilities in Benghazi on September 11, 2012. The attacks were carried out by the Islamic militant group Ansar al-Sharia. In addition to Ambassador Stevens, former Navy SEALs Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty and State Department IT specialist Sean Smith were also killed.

Susan Rice somehow manages to make Benghazi cover-up seem minor
April 4, 2017
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/apr/4/susan-rice-somehow-manages-to-make-benghazi-cover-/

Well, that explains the deafening silence from President Obama.

All these months, it turns out, it was his right-hand hatchet gal and exposed serial prevaricator Susan Rice who was behind the scenes in his administration working all the levers of the most powerful espionage machine on planet Earth to spy on Mr. Obama’s political enemies.

This is jaw-dropping, bombshell information.

Not because it reveals Susan“Benghazi was about a video”Rice to be a liar. We already knew that.

Not because it exposed the Obama administration as the most nakedly partisan presidency in modern history, willing to use even the most sacred powers of the federal government for political purposes. We already knew that too.

What is so astonishing about the revelation that Ms. Rice was the one unmasking Donald Trump and his campaign before, during and after he won the presidency is that it doesn’t get any closer to Barack Obama himself.

Exclusive–Father of Benghazi Fallen Hero: ‘Perhaps Susan Rice Should Take a Lie Detector Test’
April 6, 2017
http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/04/06/exclusive-benghazi-hero-kris-paronto-susan-rice-needs-be-jail-show-politicians-they-no-longer-untouchable/

The father of CIA contract security officer Tyrone Woods, one of the four Americans killed in the Sept. 11, 2012 attacks on American facilities in Benghazi, Libya, told Breitbart News that former national security adviser Susan Rice should answer questions about her handling of intelligence reports while being wired to a lie detector.

“I am an attorney, and every attorney, the jury instructions we always give: ‘If a witness has been proven false in part of their testimony, then all of their testimony is presumed to be less truthful,” said Charles Woods, who became one of the most vocal family members of the four men. “That is the situation we have with Susan Rice.”

Woods said Rice lied to the American people five times on the Sunday after the Benghazi attacks, when she told viewers watching five different news programs the attack was triggered by a video on YouTube that depicted the Prophet Mohammad in a negative light.

“Two weeks ago, she said she did not know anything about the unmasking of Michael Flynn,” the former administrative law judge said.

“We have a pattern of not being truthful,” he said. “I makes me wonder why she wasn’t fired several years ago, when it was proven she lied to the American public those five times. Why wasn’t she fired? The only conclusion I can reach is that she worked for an organization whose values were based on deceiving the American people.”

Instead of being fired, Rice was rewarded, because

she shared the values of the people she worked for and worked with, Woods said.

In January 2016, Woods challenged former secretary of state Hillary Clinton to take a lie detector test regarding the claims that she did not tell Woods and other Benghazi family members that the attacks were sparked because of an offensive video. Woods also volunteered to take a lie detector test himself. “Perhaps Susan Rice should take a lie detector test, as well?” he asked.

Woods said he has first-hand experience with the government, starting with a phone call with his son while Tyrone was still on active-duty in the Navy. “Do I believe that I am monitored? Yes,” he said.

During the conversation, the SEAL told his father that the government monitors all phone calls and if certain keywords are used in the conversation, the government flags the conversation for follow-up, he said.

Woods said when he attended the 2014 Conservative Political Action Conference he encountered another confirmation that the government was tracking him.

The attorney said he was going to give interviews at CPAC’s “Radio Row,” and in between interviews, he would call his wife to reflect and to pray with her.

After an interview with NRA Radio, Woods noticed that his contact list in his phone was smaller than it used to be, he said. “Every one of the media people, whether it had been Hannity or Fox News or whatever, all of those contacts had been scrubbed and then, all of the contacts that I have made with congressmen and senators–every one of those had been scrubbed.”

That night, Woods said he attended an event with a number of members of the intelligence community. “I mentioned what happened to my phone to a guy there from the CIA and he brought it over to a couple of whistleblowers at the same event. He said, ‘Have them look at your phone and tell them what happened.’”

Both men examined the phone and confirmed to Woods that someone from government had deleted his media and Capitol Hill contacts, he said.

One of the men told Woods: “It would have been very easy for someone to erase all of your contacts, but they wanted to give you a message that ‘We are listening to you. We are watching you and there are certain people, namely, media and congressmen and senators, that we don’t want you talking to anymore.”

WIKILEAKS PROVES OBAMA AND HILLARY ISSUED STAND DOWN ORDER IN BENGHAZI!! April 2017
http://usjournalreview.com/wikileaks-proves-obama-and-hillary-issued-stand-down-order-in-benghazi/

Wikileaks email dump has turned up undeniable evidence that Hillary was not only aware of the situation but actually ordered them to stay put and wait rather than upset the Lebanese government. Apparently, the arms trade with the Lebanese government was in jeopardy so Obama told Hillary to handle it as she saw fit.

Via USA Politics Today:

Clinton told Podesta that a few lives were a small price to pay to keep our sweet deals on weapons to the Lebanese flowing through Kurdistan and Caledonia:

“DOCUMENT NUMBER 1254869 CLEARLY SHOWS THAT CLINTON ADVISED PODESTA OF THEIR INTENT TO HAVE THE US MILITARY, WHICH WAS ONLY 3 MILES FROM THE CONSULATE WHEN THE ATTACK HAPPENED, STAY PUT AND OFFER NO HELP. ‘THE CIA WILL GET THEIR OWN PEOPLE OUT’ THE FORWARD COMMANDERS WERE TOLD.”

According to the email, he told Clinton to do “whatever she thought was best” to keep the weapons deals with Ghadafi from being lost to the Germans.

Knowing she was at fault didn’t stop Hillary from attacking Benghazi victim’s families during her 2016 presidential debates, did it?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lV-QblDLi_o&feature=youtu.be

And she had the audacity to show remorse during the funeral and then attacking the victim’s families during the debates? It’s her fault that they died! She is an evil and corrupt politician who was given too much power by Barack Obama.

Update: May 2, 2017

Published on Apr 5, 2017

Days before leaving office, Susan Rice told NPR hack Rachel Martin that she and Obama removed all chemical weapons in Syria. This of course was another classic Susan Rice lie as over 100 people died, including babies in the latest Syrian chemical weapons attack by Bashir al-Assad.

So let me put this all together for you in case you may have missed something here:

  • Susan Rice advised President Bill Clinton to not take Osama Bin Laden when Sudan offered him up in 1996. Just 5 years before 9/11.
  • Susan Rice lied about why the attack in Benghazi happened. She said it was some protest to a video. (Yeah, because protesters run around with RPGs and grenades.)
  • Susan Rice denied knowing anything about the unmasking and incidentally collection of people associated with Candidate/Pres-Elect/President Trump and his team.
  • Susan Rice changed her story a week later after it was proven that she was the one who had unmasked, or at least one of the people to do so. She also claims that it was all done legally and happens all the time. ( Then why lie the first time around?)
  • Susan Rice told Rachel Martin, in an interview on NPR, that she and Obama removed all chemical weapons in Syria. This of course was another classic Susan Rice lie.  April 4, 2017 over 100 people died, including babies in the latest Syrian chemical weapons attack by Bashir al-Assad.

But I’ll let you decide for yourself, what you think of Susan Rice. If you ask me she’s just as evil as her partner in crime Hillary Clinton. I am looking forward to hearing her testify and tell her side of the story of this unmasking and leaking scandal under oath. However after her past of lying, it will be hard to take her testimony as the honest truth.

Not only is there no evidence of collusion, but this investigation has been happening since at least July of 2016, and nothing has been found. If you don’t believe me, then you are welcome to watch the collection of videos that I have included for your viewing pleasure.

(To my knowledge as of May 2, 2017 there is still no evidence that the Trump Team colluded with Russia.)

The top House Intelligence Committee Democrat, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) dropped a bombshell on Donald Trump by saying there’s more than circumstantial evidence against Trump for Russia collusion.

And yes he lied, because everywhere else I’m hearing no collusion with Russia. The new evidence that Devin Nunes found, he stated had nothing to do with Russia. At the time Mr. Schiff did the above interview he had not seen any new evidence to suggest a new conclusion. This was just grandstanding, and a blatant lie to further the Russian collusion narrative.

He has backpedeled since.

Rep. Adam Schiff: Too early to say Trump campaign colluded with RussiaApril 2, 2017

Democrat Adam Schiff Admits No Evidence of Trump-Russia Collusion April 2, 2017

Rep. Adam Schiff says it’s premature to conclude that members of the Trump campaign colluded with the Russian government to interfere in the general election.

Asked by CNN’s Jake Tapper whether he can “say definitively that there was collusion” between members of the campaign and Moscow to meddle in the presidential race, the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee said it’s too early to tell.

“We can say, conclusively, this is something that needs to be thoroughly investigated,” Mr. Schiff said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “But it’s way premature to be reaching conclusions.”

“We are still at the very early stage of the investigation,” he said. “The only thing I can say is that it would be irresponsible for us not to get to the bottom of this.”

The California Democrat previously said he had seen “more than circumstantial evidence” to suggest members of the Trump campaign had colluded with Russia to interfere in the presidential race.

“I can tell you that the case is more than that,” Mr. Schiff said last month on “State of the Union.” “And I can’t go into the particulars, but there is more than circumstantial evidence now.”

At that time, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, California Republican, said he wasn’t aware of the evidence cited by Mr. Schiff.

Devin Nunes on Surveillance and Russia

Personal Story

Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee joins ‘The O’Reilly Factor’ to discuss surveillance claims surrounding President Trump – Evidence that had NOTHING TO DO WITH RUSSIA

(But had everything to do with surveillance of the Trump Team. There is also no reason for Devin Nunes to recuse himself from the investigation because he’s done nothing wrong.)

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/03/27/nunes-on-meeting-source-on-white-house-grounds-there-was-no-sneaking-around.html

The chairman of the House intelligence committee told Fox News’ “The O’Reilly Factor” Monday that “there was no sneaking around” when he met with the secret source behind his claim that President Trump’s associates were caught up in “incidental” surveillance.

“We go to the executive branch at least once or twice a week,” Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., told host Bill O’Reilly. “This is not unusual, because there are intelligence products that we don’t have access to in the House of Representatives, although we do have the clearances to see them.

“So, we’ve known about this long before Trump actually sent his famous tweet out about the ‘wiretapping’ at Trump Tower,” Nunes went on. “We’ve known that there was additional unmasking of Americans’ names. We’ve had sources that have provided that information. And so, what I had to do was that I needed a place that I could actually go and find this information and review it.”

The chairman said he did not go to the West Wing or speak to Trump on the day he met his source, and re-emphasized that the information he reviewed “had nothing to do with Russia. That’s the key here.”

Nunes’ confirmation that he met with the source on the White House grounds prompted Democrats to call for him to recuse himself from the committee’s ongoing investigation into possible ties between Russian officials and members of Trump’s campaign.

Backed by House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., Nunes struck a defiant tone, telling O’Reilly, “I’m sure the Democrats do want me to quit, because they know that I’m quite effective at getting to the bottom of things.”

Scary Department of Education Bills H.R. 610 and H.R. 899

nofeddoe

Many of you may have heard of the bills H.R.610 & H.R. 899 that were introduced to the house on January 23, 2017 by Republican Representative of Iowa Steve King and February 7, 2017 by Republican Representative of Kentucky Massie Thomas. These bills deal with the department of education termination, education funding/school voucher program and school lunch nutrition. The summary statements are:

H.R. 610 Introduced in House (01/23/2017)
Choices in Education Act of 2017

To distribute Federal funds for elementary and secondary education in the form of vouchers for eligible students and to repeal a certain rule relating to nutrition standards in schools.

(Steve King tried to introduce similar legislation at the end of last year (Sept. 22, 2016, H.R. 6119 (114th)), dealing with the repeal of Michelle Obama’s nutrition regulations and nothing came of it.

H.R. 899 IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, February 7, 2017

Mr. Massie (for himself, Mr. Amash, Mr. Biggs, Mr. Chaffetz, Mr. Gaetz, Mr. Jody B. Hice of Georgia, Mr. Jones, and Mr. Labrador) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Education and the Workforce

To terminate the Department of Education. (Federal)

The Department of Education shall terminate on December 31, 2018.

As of 03/17/2017 no related bill information has been received for H.R.899 – To terminate the Department of Education..

There is mass “Trump Hysteria” surrounding these bills as well as intense hatred for The Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos, even though neither introduced either of these bills. President Trump’s first full day in office was the day H.R. 610 was introduced to the house and Mrs. DeVos was confirmed the day H.R. 899 was introduced, (February 7, 2017). So neither of them wrote either bill. However, they both support school of choice, and less government.

Many conservatives believe that because the Department of Education costs tens of billions of dollars each year that it is completely unnecessary, and we really don’t need one on the Federal level, when we have 50 separate State Departments of Education. Personally, I don’t think we should get rid of the entire department, but it could use a complete overhaul. I’m sure many of our government agencies need reorganization. I do believe we need the protections that are implemented on a federal level so that states have a standard to live up to.

The general consensus with HR 610 bill is it’s dead at committee. There hasn’t been an action since 01/23/2017 when referred to the House Committee on Education and the Workforce. It only has two co-sponsors, (Rep. Harris, Andy [R-MD-1]*, Rep. Franks, Trent [R-AZ-8]*,) and one other that withdrew support earlier this month, (Rep. Olson, Pete [R-TX-22], date withdrawn 03/09/2017, explanation H2004). I’m told that if a bill has no support/sponsors it has no chance of passing. I’ve read this one has 0.001%-2% chance of making it to law.

As of 03/16/2017 no related bill information has been received for H.R.610.

As far as H.R. 899 goes, it’s said it’s very unlikely this bill would pass in either the House or the Senate, but if it did, the H.R. 610 would be considered moot, since this bill eliminates the Federal Department of Education.

As of 03/17/2017 no related bill information has been received for H.R.899 – To terminate the Department of Education.

House Bill to Eliminate Department of Education
http://www.policyinsider.org/2017/02/house-bill-to-eliminate-department-of-education-.html

Rep. Massie states that “states and local communities are best positioned to shape curricula that meet the needs of their students”. In addition Rep. Massie stated that, “It’s time we get the feds out of the classroom and terminate the Department of Education.” It is unlikely that this bill would pass in the House or Senate.

These bills might be dead in committee, but it is a perfect example to why people need to not let the media or anyone else divert your attention from the real issues. Everyone is so focused on Russia, tax returns that mean nothing and whether the president of our country has the authority to enforce our laws that have been in place for decades. People are letting real things slip through the cracks unnoticed. The bad things and the good things too. It’s important to recognize the good things as well as know what’s bad and why they are bad or good. There is so much fear mongering from media and those who just want people to agree with them. Fear is a very effective motivator.

There are no heroes or villains in politics. Politicians don’t care about the people, they care about who is in their pocket. Both sides of the isle contradict themselves depending on how it affects their political stance today. They can all be hypothetical at some point in time.

Many don’t like President Trump, because they believe he’s no different than the other politicians of DC, but I do see that he does want us as a country to succeed. (That will only make him look good.) I also want to believe that he wants us as individuals to succeed. He may not always be doing things the way you would, but giving him a chance has proven so far that he’s done some good, more good depending on what side of the aisle you lean to.

The stalling of a bill means either

(a) it’s a bad bill

(b) Congress is ineffective, or

(c) both (a) and (b).
The bill would have done other things as well, vis-à-vis school choice, but anyway, it appears to be at a dead end.

And while I still want you to be hair-on-fire mad about this bill, it’s likely dead in the water because whoops right-wing homeschool advocates hate it too.

Turns out The Home School Legal Defense Association, which claims 84,000 members and like a lot of right-wing organizations outweighs its membership numbers on the Republican Hill, has come out strongly against King’s bill because it “would be a slippery slope toward more federal involvement and control in homeschooling.”

How House Bill 610 Could Affect Kids With Disabilities, Because There’s Been Some Confusion via Romper.com March 10, 2017
https://www.romper.com/p/how-house-bill-610-could-affect-kids-with-disabilities-because-theres-been-some-confusion-43297

H.R. 899, which calls for the termination of the Department of Education entirely. Constituents rightly reacted with horror to such a bill, and it’s unlikely to pass. H.R. 610 is called the Choices in Education Act, and is largely billed as an advancement of Education Secretary Betsy DeVos’ ill-conceived school voucher program, but it would effectively abolish the Department of Education, as well. Calling for block grants for school vouchers are part of the bill, but it would also repeal two laws protecting students, and severely limit the scope of the department’s authority.

How does Hr 610 affect special education?
https://www.romper.com/p/how-does-hr-610-affect-special-education-it-would-undo-50-years-of-protections-44370

repeal the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965, which would significantly restrict federal funding provided to public schools by the U.S. Department of Education as well as limit the department’s overall functions. But if this foundational legislation of American public schools is repealed, that means equal opportunity protections for students would also be eliminated, including special education resources for students with special needs, including IEPs.

In sum, DeVos’s school choice bill is just bad legislation overall — but when you really take a close look at it, you can see just how many different areas of education will be impacted, including special education.

The Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 has been reauthorized by Congress every five years. During the Bush era, it was renamed as the No Child Left Behind Act. Under Obama, it became the Every Student Succeeds Act. No matter the name, it afforded the necessary protections that special education students have come to expect as standard in American public education, specifically ensuring schools that receive federal funding must provide support for students with disabilities. ESEA also provided dedicated grants for special education centers.

House Bill 610 to Defund Public Education-
Truth! & Fiction!
Summary of eRumor:
GOP Rep. Steve King of Iowa has introduced H.R. 610 to defund public education.
The Truth:
H.R. 610 would dramatically change how federal education dollars are doled out, and it would lead to less federal funding for public schools by redirecting some funds to private school and homeschool students.

But the claim that H.R. 610 would completely defund public education isn’t entirely accurate.

Specifically, H.R. 610 would repeal the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA), which was passed as part of President Lyndon B. Johnson’s “War on Poverty.”

Congress reauthorized the measure in 2015 as the Every Student Succeeds Act. Before that, it was known as the No Child Left Behind Act. The Department of Education explains that federal block grants supporting school districts in low-income areas have been a primary piece of the legislation over the last 50 years:

The Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) was signed into law in 1965 by President Lyndon Baines Johnson, who believed that “full educational opportunity” should be “our first national goal.” From its inception, ESEA was a civil rights law.

ESEA offered new grants to districts serving low-income students, federal grants for textbooks and library books, funding for special education centers, and scholarships for low-income college students. Additionally, the law provided federal grants to state educational agencies to improve the quality of elementary and secondary education.

Again, H.R. 610 would repeal ESEA and limit the authority of the Department of Education — marking a dramatic shift in how public schools are funded. The Department of Education would only be authorized to administer education funding in federal block grants to states, a portion of which would have to be administered to private and homeschooled students, according to the text of the bill:

The bill establishes an education voucher program, through which each state shall distribute block grant funds among local educational agencies (LEAs) based on the number of eligible children within each LEA’s geographical area. From these amounts, each LEA shall: (1) distribute a portion of funds to parents who elect to enroll their child in a private school or to home-school their child, and (2) do so in a manner that ensures that such payments will be used for appropriate educational expenses.

To be eligible to receive a block grant, a state must: (1) comply with education voucher program requirements, and (2) make it lawful for parents of an eligible child to elect to enroll their child in any public or private elementary or secondary school in the state or to home-school their child.

Critics of H.R. 610 argue that the bill would have a disproportionately negative impact on public schools in low-income communities because it would repeal ESEA, which has provided a significant source of federal funding to them. The Department of Education reports that more than about 56,000 public schools and 21 million children would be impacted by changes to Title I funding:

ED’s most recent data on participation in the program are from school year (SY) 2009-10. In SY 2009-10 more than 56,000 public schools across the country used Title I funds to provide additional academic support and learning opportunities to help low-achieving children master challenging curricula and meet state standards in core academic subjects. For example, funds support extra instruction in reading and mathematics, as well as special preschool, after-school, and summer programs to extend and reinforce the regular school curriculum.

That same year Title I served more than 21 million children. Of these students, approximately 59 percent were in kindergarten through fifth grade, 21 percent in grades 6-8, 17 percent in grades 9-12, 3 percent in preschool, and less than one percent ungraded.

Supporters of H.R. 610 argue that children from underperforming “Title I” public schools in low-income areas would be able to use a voucher to attend a better private or charter school under H.R. 610.

So, it’s true that H.R. 610 would have a major impact on how federal education funding is doled out, and it would have a more dramatic impact on low-income or “Title I” school districts that received federal grants through ESEA. But the claim that H.R. 610 would defund public education isn’t completely accurate, either. Students would seemingly have less incentive to “opt-out” of better performing public schools, likely leading to minimal impact on those districts. That’s why we’re calling this one “truth” and “fiction.”

The bill has no wording protecting Special Needs kids, no mention of IDEA and FAPE.
Some things ESSA does for Children with Disabilities
-Ensures access to the general education curriculum.
-Ensures access to accommodations on assessments.
-Ensures concepts of Universal Design for Learning
-Includes provisions that require local education agencies to provide evidence-based interventions in schools with consistently underperforming subgroups.
-Requires states in Title I plans to address how they will improve conditions for learning including reducing incidents of bullying and harassment in schools, overuse of discipline practices and reduce the use of aversive behavioral interventions (such as restraints and seclusion).

This special needs mom wants more like Betsy DeVos in Washington
http://thehill.com/blogs/pundits-blog/education/315047-this-special-needs-mom-wants-more-like-betsy-devos-in-washington via The Hill 01/19/17

It was abundantly clear early on in the hearing that the American people are rightfully frustrated with the extreme partisanship in Washington, D.C. The Democrats in the hearing room were far more interested in delivering political cheap shots and scoring points for their special interest friends than having a fair and balanced discussion about Mrs. DeVos’ qualifications and her philosophy for education reform. It was a sad and sorry spectacle.

Mrs. DeVos joined our cause in Ohio to create a voucher program to allow parents to send their kids to private schools that do a better job of educating special needs students. Thanks to Mrs. DeVos advocacy, my son, Sam, gained access to a better school and is now a high school graduate. I know that Betsy DeVos has a big heart and deep concern for all students in America, especially the most vulnerable children.

While the Democrats in Washington were grandstanding, Mrs. DeVos was composed, articulate and passionate in outlining her belief that education policy should be driven, first and foremost, by what is best for school children and their parents.

The education establishment and labor bosses in the teacher’s unions are fiercely opposing Mrs. DeVos because they know she is tough, determined and driven by one thing and one thing only; to raise the bar on education in America.

Betsy DeVos places parents like me and kids like Sam first, which is why I believe she will be an excellent education secretary.

This is an interesting comment I found that I thought I’d share:

Here is a brief breakdown of some facts about House Bill 610 to help quell some of the hysteria whipped up by radical progressives and the NEA, SEIU and other leftist organizations. Let’s start out by stating that Public Education in America today has a dismal record of educating our children. When I was growing up in the ’50 & ’60’s America was number one in literacy world wide…then the Federal Government and the Unions took over. Today, we don’t even rank in the top ten in math & science. What the heck happened? When the Federal bureaucratic pinheads, the Teacher’s Union officials and the ACLU finished tinkering with it, our Public Educational System became more concerned with social engineering, emphasizing on things like diversity, gender identity, social justice ( whatever that is ) and equality of outcomes and the changes in curriculum reflected those new-age courses. State governments and local school administrators and teachers lost control of their students and whether or not they were learning anything worthwhile for the real world. It became more about feelings than about facts and results. All you have to do is talk to Corporate HR Directors to find out that our Federal Education Department is failing our children miserably. We are having to recruit people from places like India, China, Pakistan and South Korea because our American children are not being prepared with the proper skills to succeed in our own economy. That is the number one reason you have seen this significant rise in Home Schooling and some parents sending their children to parochial schools even if it doesn’t fit their religious tradition.
Something had to be done and I believe that  School Choice and the Parental Voucher System is a good start. If a Public School is failing to teach the students and cannot be brought up to snuff…then it needs to be closed and it’s students and their parents given a choice to send their students to a school where they are doing their job. We spend the highest amount per student on Public Education and get the poorest return on our investment. Money is not the problem but you wouldn’t believe that if you listen to the Democrats…wonder why.
I have found in my 70+ years that politicians are always easiest to control at the local level. The farther it moves up the food-chain the less influence we taxpayers have over the outcomes. Time to bring education back to the states and localities where the parents and PTA can have greater control over decisions made for educating our children. We owe these future generations nothing less.
The classrooms of today are the governments of tomorrow!—

Don’t Panic Over the “No Hungry Kids Act” – Plus a New Bill to Ensure School Food Safety –  via TheLunchTray.com March 7, 2017
http://www.thelunchtray.com/dont-panic-no-hungry-kids-act-plus-new-bill-ensure-school-food-safety/

..readers need to know that King has been trying to gain traction on this bill in the last three congressional sessions and it’s never gone anywhere.

Sources I’ve spoken with in D.C. believe this current iteration of the bill will meet the same fate, noting that it has few co-sponsors and hasn’t been scheduled for a mark-up in the House Education and Workforce Committee. And PredictGov, which assesses the chances of a bill becoming law, gives HR 610 a mere 2 percent chance of enactment. (Apparently, the portion of the bill pertaining to education funding also seems to be a nonstarter, with observers assessing it as “dead on arrival.”)

American Health Care Act

Is this plan a good replacement for the ACA or are all the negative comments from the democrats and Trump Haters warranted?

I’d say it’s not good in it’s current form, but has potential.

It sounds like it has the potential to get much better, and it’s probably better than nothing at all. One really good thing is that President Trump said they are very open to negotiations.

He said “It’s going to a big fat beautiful negotiation.”

Paul Ryan seems pretty excited about this bill and so does President Trump. You can find the PDF of the actual text from the new bill herehttps://housegop.leadpages.co/healthcare/

It’s been explained that this is a three step process for this plan to work. Many changes will happen to this bill as it makes its way through our democratic process. So why is everyone complaining so much? Because they can’t see past phase one, and they are not able to realize what it will be by phase three. There isn’t anything to see yet. Since everything is being negotiated there isn’t anything to see for phase 3. It’s still being drafted. So no wonder there are doubts about what to vote.

If the rest of the plan doesn’t make it through, or if it isn’t what it’s been promised, no one wants to own the mistake. There is way too much riding on this. With seats opening up in 2018 and President Trump’s approval ratings as low as they are, this plan needs to be sparkling perfect.

They really should just scrap the three step process malarkey and write a bill with exactly what they want it to look like in the end. Then let the negotiations begin. It just seems like a better plan to me. I’m not alone on that opinion either.

Costs are supposed to be affected more in phases 2-3, bringing premiums down, because of competition between companies and being able to buy out of state. I keep hearing a lot about costs going up from Democrats and Paul Ryan keeps saying they will be going down.

Democrats are super mad at the defunding of Planned Parenthood and they are very dramatic about the possibility of having less people with coverage. Although with that predicted number they are relying solely on phase one CBO estimates, (Congressional Budget Office). Paul Ryan says that everyone will be offered coverage and the CBO numbers don’t take into account that people now have a choice instead of being made to buy or pay a penalty.

As it sits right now, the bill would allow insurance companies to charge older sicker policyholders up to five times as much as younger healthier ones. It’s not completely clear to me, if that would be something that might change during their phase plan and/or if it’s up for negotiations.

The Medicaid reform section seems a little sketchy and quite confusing. As well as the tax credits based on age and income has left me scratching my head and my brain hurts a little. Haha

Why are they in such a hurry to pass this legislation on healthcare reform? Well here is proof from an article written in November of 2015. This is an emergency issue. They need to fix this before everyone who uses Obama Care has no health insurance.

Obamacare’s Exchanges Begin To Implode via Forbes November 30, 2015

Need proof that Obamacare is imploding? Look to its exchanges.
The largest U.S. insurer, UnitedHealth Group, just announced that it may withdraw from then exchanges in 2017. The insurer currently offers plans in 34 states and covers more than 500,000 people through the online marketplaces. But it’s expecting $700 million in losses on its exchange business this year.
….Premiums and deductibles for policies sold through the exchanges have soared. The young and healthy — who must buy insurance for the law’s finances to work — are spurning coverage altogether.
…the plans available in the exchanges are simply unaffordable.
…or it makes more financial sense to pay the modest tax penalty for going without insurance.
Two years ago, President Obama brushed off criticism of his then-fledgling healthcare law by claiming “the same folks trying to scare people now are the same folks who have been trying to sink the Affordable Care Act from the beginning.”
The law is still fledgling today. And its critics haven’t sunk it. Obamacare has sown the seeds of its own demise.

Paul Ryan has explained this bill will go through a 3 prong process as it moves through legislation. This is due to the amount of votes they need to get the bill to pass. There are certain things you can not do without a 60+ vote. Republicans have only 52 Senate votes, which is not enough to end a Democrat filibuster. At least four of the Republican votes would not be reliable for a clean repeal bill. Apparently a perfect bill is simply not possible

Reconciliation – Repeal and Replace

  • Repeal as much of Obamacare as possible

Administration Action – Appointees, (Tom Price,) will kill as much Obamacare regulation as possible through administrative rulemaking

Additional Legislation

  • Needs 60+ vote
  • The remainder of Obamacare will be repealed and replaced through a traditional bill. This bill would ideally enact other reforms that cannot be part of the budget reconciliation such as allowing health insurance to be sold across state lines. The third phase will be the most difficult since that bill would be subject to a Democrat filibuster.
This whole process is expected to take about 3 weeks.(Sources Speaker Paul Ryan, Rep Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) House Majority Leader & TheResurgent.com)

Republican Health Plan Is Worth a Closer Look via TheResurgent.com March 11, 2017

The first two sections deal with “Patient Access to Public Health Programs” and “Medicaid Program Enhancement.” These sections dealt with reforms to Medicaid. Some of the items included, listed in order with their section number were:

  • Banning Medicaid money for abortion providers such as Planned Parenthood (103)
  • Repealing the Medicaid expansion effective January 1, 2020 (112) – The Medicaid expansion was the largest expansion of coverage under Obamacare.
  • Limits the eligibility for Medicaid (114)
  • Creates incentives for states to qualify Medicare recipients more often and penalizes those that carry ineligible people on the rolls (116)
  • The next section, “Per Capita Allotment for Medical Assistance,” also deals with Medicaid reform.
  • Caps Medicaid spending on a per person basis (1903A)
  • Subpart D is entitled “Patient Relief and Health Market Stability.”
  • Repeals Obamacare’s cost-sharing subsidy with insurance companies (131)
  • Creates a Patient and State Stability Fund that empowers states to create risk pools for high risk individuals, promote preventive care, reduce costs and reduce out-of-pocket costs for insureds (2202)
  • This section also describes the Continuous Health Coverage Incentive for people who drop their health insurance and sign up again. This is a 30 percent penalty for people who do not have 63 days of continuous coverage in the previous 12 months. This is not a popular provision, but Obamacare’s clause guaranteeing insurability for previous conditions is something most Americans want to keep. If this provision is to be kept, some sort of mechanism is necessary to prevent people from waiting until they get sick to buy insurance. (133, 2711)
  • Amends Obamacare to increase insurance policy options (134)

There are many individual sections of the bill that repeal Obamacare taxes as well. One section of the bill is titled “Repeal and Replace of Health-Related Tax Policy.”

  • Repeals the tanning tax
  • Repeals the tax on prescription medications
  • Repeals the Health Insurance Tax
  • Repeals the Net Investment Income Tax
  • Prohibits tax credits for abortion coverage (02-04)
  • Repeals individual mandate (05)
  • Repeals tax on employee insurance premiums and benefits (07)
  • Repeals tax on over-the-counter medications (08)
  • Repeals tax increase on Health Savings Accounts (09)
  • Repeal of limits on Flexible Savings Account contributions (10)
  • Repeal of medical device tax (11)
  • Repeals the increase in the threshold of the medical income tax deduction. The threshold would return to 7.5 percent of adjusted gross income from the current 10 percent. (12)
  • Repeal of the Medicare tax increase (14)

Section 15 deals with the refundable tax credits for insurance premiums. Section 7529 allows advance payment of the credit. This is a problematic section.

  • Increases the HSA contribution limit to equal the amount of the policy’s deductible and out-of-pocket limits (16)
  • Permits catch-up contributions to HSAs (17)
  • Treats medical expenses within 60 days of the establishment of an HSA as occurring on the first day the account was opened. This would allow HSA funds to be used for a condition that occurred shortly before opening the account. (18)

Senator Cruz Found an Overlooked 1974 Rule That Could Be a Real Game-changer for Repealing Obamacare via Independent Journal Review March 11, 2017

House Republicans left several reforms popular with conservatives out of their health care bill because the parliamentarian is likely to rule them outside the scope of special rules in the upper chamber that prevent a Democratic filibuster.
These special rules hinge on what is known as “reconciliation,” a process which allows legislation that affects the budget but has a limited scope to be passed with only a simple Senate majority, leaving such bills immune to filibuster.
Traditionally, it has fallen to the parliamentarian — who advises the Senate “on the interpretation of its rules and procedures” — to determine what should and should not be considered a reconciliation bill.
According to Cruz, however, a provision in the Congressional Budget Act of 1974 would allow Republicans to both drastically increase the scope of their new health care reform bill and still let it fall under reconciliation by essentially bypassing the parliamentarian and leaving that decision up to Vice President Pence.
“Under the Budget Act of 1974, which is what governs reconciliation, it is the presiding officer, the vice president of the United States, who rules on what’s permissible on reconciliation and what is not.
Cruz said this process would allow Republicans to include a number of provisions that would make the health care reform bill much more attractive to conservatives.

The American Health Care Act Is Critical First Step Toward Protecting Patients
via HHS.gov March 7, 2017
With Congress considering reconciliation legislation, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) continues its work on the next two steps: taking administrative actions that will create a healthier insurance market and alleviate the burden the current healthcare law imposed on Americans, and supporting work on legislation that will include reforms not permitted under reconciliation, such as purchase of insurance across state lines.
Ongoing Administrative Actions
To relieve the burden of the current healthcare law, HHS has begun key administrative actions, including:

  • Stabilize insurance markets and increase coverage choices beginning 2018;
  • Loosening restrictions so patients have access to lower premium options; and Improving choices for patients and putting downward pressure on prices
  • Future administrative actions help provide more options, give states flexibility for spending their Medicaid dollars, and ensure a stable transition to any law Congress passes.
Further Congressional Action
In addition to the reconciliation bill, HHS supports legislation to take action on other priorities President Trump has laid out for healthcare, including:

  • Increasing competition and choice by promoting the sale of insurance across state lines;
  • Removing even more of the current healthcare law’s regulations on insurance;
  • Reducing out-of-control drug costs; and
  • New legal reforms to cut costs for patients and doctors.

Some states only have one insurer to choose from and by next year there will be none. People will be without healthcare at all. Over 50%-116% increase on Obamacare premiums. Only sick people are buying because healthy ones go without and are not paying into the pool. No money to cover costs.

Lower costs – More choices – Patients in control – Universal access to care
Eliminate taxes – Stop spending – Eliminate mandates

“Two House committees have now approved the American Health Care Act. Next the bill goes to the Budget Committee as part of an open, transparent process.
“We promised to repeal and replace Obamacare, and now we are one step closer to giving families relief from this collapsing law. That means we are one step closer to going from a government-centered system to a patient-centered system, where you have lower costs, more choices, and greater control over your care.
“And—this is so important—we are one step closer to returning power from Washington back to states, to doctors, and to patients. Let’s come together. Let’s get it done.

The President did say it’s a work in progress, and like everything else there is always room for improvement. They are very open to revisions and new ideas to make it better. This is just a really confusing and vast issue to tackle with so many things that need to be factored in and possibilities that need to be taken into account.

Paul Ryan’s complete policy agenda
…we must move to a better system that embraces competition and choice and actually lowers costs for patients and taxpayers.Introduced this week, the American Health Care Act keeps our promise to repeal and replace Obamacare. I hope you will read the bill online at readthebill.gop.
Our goal is to give every American access to quality, affordable health care. For families, that means lower costs, more choices and greater control.

  • Bill repeals Obamacare – we eliminate Obamacare’s taxes, mandates and spending.
  • Plan ensures a stable transition, continuous coverage with protections for patients w/ pre-existing conditions and kids to stay on their parents’ plan until 26 years of age.
  • Give states more funding and flexibility to support high-risk pools and reinsurance programs, plan takes care of those in need without driving up costs for everyone else.
  • Strengthen Medicaid so that the STATES have the tools they need to take care of their poor and most vulnerable populations at a lower cost.
  • Double the amount you can contribute to health savings accounts to pay for out-of-pocket expenses..
  • An advanceable, refundable tax credit to those who don’t get insurance from work or a government program. Instead of mandates forcing you to buy what the government wants, you will have real choices.
  • Get rid of costly insurance mandates and regulations, to further help choices.

In the weeks ahead, the House will consider this plan through an open and transparent process, including legislation to allow people to purchase health care across state lines.

Will the American Health Care Act Pass?
via Fox Business March 8, 2017

The American Health Care Act put forth by House Republicans has left the party divided over whether the piece of legislation is an actual repeal of the Affordable Care Act or simply just what Senator Rand Paul called, “Obamacare Lite.”
In a nutshell the American Health Care Act allows adolescents 26 and under to stay on their parent’s plan, preserves the expansion of Medicaid through 2020, eliminates nearly all taxes and subsidies from Obamacare, and gets rid of the mandate that requires individuals to have health insurance or be forced to pay a penalty
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) emphasized the importance of “getting rid of all the mandated regulation and mandated coverages that are in Obamacare” in order to promote “market principles like health savings accounts, easy formation of association of health plans, [and] interstate shopping for insurance.”
“All I know is we had our House Dream Caucus meeting last night and there was strong opposition in that meeting. I don’t think there are the votes there for it now.”
However, he is optimistic about the democratic process and is hopeful of working together to create a product that will ultimately lower the cost of health care.
“Let’s have debates, let’s have amendments, let’s have discussions, let’s hash this out like we’re supposed to in front of the American people with full amendments so we can get to a much better product that I hope in the end will actually bring down the cost of insurance,” said Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH)

Republicans have released their long-awaited plan to repeal Obamacare
via – AMP Business Insider March 6, 2017
Introducing block tax credits for individuals to access health insurance: Instead of the ACA’s tax credits, which adjusted the amount distributed based on income and the beneficiary’s residence, the AHCA would give lump tax credits to Americans. The credits would be based on age, and an individual making over $75,000 or a household making over $150,000 a year would see a decrease in the credit depending on how much he or she made over that limit. Here’s the breakdown of how much each age group would get:

  • Under 30: $2,000 a year
  • Age 30 to 39: $2,500 a year
  • Age 40 to 49: $3,000 a year
  • Age 50 to 59: $3,500 a year
  • Age 60 and above: $4,000 a year

Providing grants to establish high-risk pools and encourage enrollment: Much as with the leaked draft, the AHCA would include a fund for states to institute numerous programs to stabilize the insurance market, most notably “the provision of financial assistance, high-risk individuals who do not have access to health insurance coverage offered through an employer.” This would allow states to establish high-risk pools for people with preexisting conditions, a plan often floated by Republicans. The plan would give states $15 billion in both 2018 and 2019 and $10 billion every year after that through 2026.

Changing the limit that insurers can charge older customers compared with younger customers: Under the ACA, insurers can charge older customers (generally sicker and more expensive to cover) no more than three times what they charge their youngest customers (generally healthier). The Republican bill would shift that to five times the amount.

Effectively defunding Planned Parenthood: The bill prohibits “direct spending” of federal dollars on any “prohibited entity” including those that provide abortions for anything other than the life of the mother, incest, or rape..

Republican health plan clears first hurdles, fate uncertain via Reuters March 9, 2017

The Republican plan backed by President Donald Trump to overhaul the U.S. healthcare system cleared its first hurdles in Congress on Thursday, but its chances for passage looked uncertain and top Republicans scrambled to bring disgruntled conservatives aboard.

The Energy and Commerce Committee voted 31-23 along party lines, with Democrats unified against it, to back the plan after marathon proceedings lasting 27 straight hours. Hours earlier, the tax-writing Ways and Means Committee similarly voted 23-16 before dawn to approve it after working 17 straight hours.
“Despite what you hear in the press, healthcare is coming along great. We are talking to many groups and it will end in a beautiful picture!” President Trump said on Twitter..

Conservatives to reveal their own healthcare plan in face of GOP’s ‘Obamacare Lite’
via The Blaze March 7, 2017

According to The Hill, Rand Paul is not letting “Obamacare Lite” happen without a fight, and he has allies. The libertarian leaning senator is teaming up with Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) to release their own bill to repeal Obamacare on Wednesday, and it’s highly similar to the one that Republicans voted for unanimously in 2015.
….he believes that if there is one thing that will unite Republicans, it’s the repeal of Obamacare.

Congressional Budget Office Report on The American Health Care Act
https://www.cbo.gov/publication/52486
CBO Report reflects only the first part of the new health plan. (Phase One.) Congressional Budget Office, (CBO), estimates 24 million decrease in number of uninsured by 2026, and 14 million uninsured by 2018. The report also estimates that the plan will cut the federal budget deficit by 337 billion over 10 years.

CBO scoring says there would be a premium increase for singles of 15%-20% in 2018-2019, but by 2020 would decrease. However, the plan grandfather’s in everyone who is newly covered by Medicaid. CBO numbers assume no one will want their coverage unless it’s a total freebie. Estimates leave out the paragraph section 2202 that provides multi-billion dollar funds that go to each state to identify the sickest people in the individual market and reimburse the insurers for the cost of their care. So that means that the other healthy people will not have to pay increased premiums to make up for the loss and cover the sickest like it does under ObamaCare. This also might be the solution to bring down the costs for the elderly, but that is still unclear and confusing.

The CBO was wrong about their predictions last time of ObamaCare, by 50% and they ignored the problem of the healthier having to fit the bill for the sick and now they are ignoring the solution for that which is written in this bill (SECTION 2202).
via Your World w/ Neil Cavuto – Betsy McCoy Author of “Beating ObamaCare”

‘‘SEC. 2202. USE OF FUNDS. ‘‘A State may use the funds allocated to the State under this title for any of the following purposes:
‘‘(1) Helping, through the provision of financial assistance, high-risk individuals who do not have access to health insurance coverage offered through an employer enroll in health insurance coverage in the individual market in the State, as such market is defined by the State (whether through the establishment of a new mechanism or maintenance of an existing mechanism for such purpose).
‘‘(2) Providing incentives to appropriate entities to enter into arrangements with the State to help stabilize premiums for health insurance coverage in the individual market, as such markets are defined by the State.
‘‘(3) Reducing the cost for providing health insurance coverage in the individual market and small group market, as such markets are defined by the State, to individuals who have, or are projected to have, a high rate of utilization of health services (as measured by cost).
‘‘(4) Promoting participation in the individual market and small group market in the State and increasing health insurance options available through such market.
‘‘(5) Promoting access to preventive services; dental care services (whether preventive or medically necessary); vision care services (whether preventive or medically necessary); prevention, treatment, or recovery support services for individuals with mental or substance use disorders; or any combination of such services.
‘‘(6) Providing payments, directly or indirectly, to health care providers for the provision of such health care services as are specified by the Administrator.
‘‘(7) Providing assistance to reduce out-of-pocket costs, such as copayments, coinsurance, premiums, and deductibles, of individuals enrolled in health insurance coverage in the State.

Newt Gingrich said the CBO should be abolished because they are wrong and corrupt. They were completely wrong about their predictions of ObamaCare, and they completely left out analysis of many sections of this new healthcare bill.
via First 100 Days – Day 53

If you’re not going to force people to buy, then less will buy, which is what Paul Ryan suggests could be the reason for the number estimates of less insured under the new plan.

These numbers only reflect phase one, which is the first bill. There is more, (at least one more,) that are planned to stabilize the market. This is just one piece of the puzzle. However, as I said before they really should just get all the good stuff in one bill and then start the negotiation process. That way everyone knows what’s going on right from the start and it seems like it would just be easier.
